Johar Rubio
Johar has one clear goal: to create spaces that feel welcoming— clean, comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and tailored to a real need. Born in Venezuela and now residing in Canada, he has shaped his perspective by living and working across Venezuela, Ecuador, and Canada. That international path has given him a strong sensitivity for how people move through spaces and what they need from them to live, work, and feel at ease.
Johar is passionate about design and architecture and has contributed to a wide range of projects by providing creative and functional solutions. Over time, he has developed strong skills in concept development, planning, and spatial visualization, always focused on results that are both aesthetic and efficient. Lighting has been his obsession since childhood; he was fascinated by how light could change everything— how a simple shift in brightness, shadow, or temperature could transform mood, focus, and emotion. That early curiosity became a lifelong calling. Today, Johar approaches every project treating lighting as a strategic tool rather than a last-minute fixture selection. For him, good lighting isn’t decoration— it’s performance. It’s how a space works during the day, settles at night, and supports the way people live or do business within it.
Beyond design, Johar brings something that’s hard to find: direction. His approach is both clear and human— he knows how to coordinate, anticipate issues, and keep everyone aligned. That’s why he naturally becomes a project lead and a trusted advisor to clients and teams. Working with Johar feels like when everything clicks: clear decisions, zero drama, and steady progress.
Before fully stepping into the world of design, architecture, and on-site construction, Johar pursued a different discipline: he was a professional soccer player. That experience still defines how he works: focused, structured, and relentlessly practical. He applies the same mindset to his work and service. He understands teamwork and objectives, builds the system, and executes with precision. The result is a calm, confident process, with decisions grounded in both aesthetics and real-world constraints.
Through insignR, Johar connects design vision with technical execution: interior design, lighting, documentation, and 3D visualization that help clients move from “I think I want this” to “this is the plan.” Whether it’s a home renovation or a commercial space that must perform, the goal is the same: reduce uncertainty, align everyone early, and deliver a space that looks right and can be built properly.
